New Particulars Come to Light Regarding the Finding of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Remains

Recent details have emerged regarding the untimely passing of acclaimed director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were located at their residence residence on Sunday.

The Initial Report

A source indicates citing a family associate, a therapist scheduled for an appointment first raised the alarm after not being able to enter the house. The practitioner then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

Upon entering the residence, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Another individual who had accompanied her then dialed 911. Subsequently, emergency responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Charges

Authorities have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, including the alleged use of a deadly weapon, reportedly a knife. He is currently being held and denied bail.

Clarifications

The anonymous source also disputed several earlier details. They said that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick resided in a detached unit on the grounds, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that juncture.

Furthermore refuted published notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "worried" about Nick's actions in the weeks leading up to the incident. Rather the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement also extends to accounts of alleged "unstable" behavior by Nick at a party thrown by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the discovery. Although the source stated they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they maintained that reports of a "heated argument" between the two were untrue.

Ongoing Inquiry Timeline

As stated by law enforcement officials, the medical examiner had still not confirmed at that point whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Some media reports noted the condition of their bodies pointed to they had been deceased for some hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the family home. He was scheduled to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, said his client had a medical issue and would not appear until Wednesday at the earliest.
