Ex- Doctor Faces Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities report that a former physician has been charged with performing assaults against thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges follow what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

Prosecutors said the 45 sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
